DILI, 11 october 2021 (TATOLI) – In the past 24 hours, Timor-Leste recorded only two new COVID-19 cases, 16 recoveries, and the active cases dropped to 208, Rui Maria de Araujo Coordinator of the Integrated Crisis Management Center (SIJK) says.
According to today’s figure, one new case was detected in Baucau and another one in RAEOA.
Araujo said that both cases are unvaccinated women and between the ages of 12 and 59, saying one was symptomatic.
There are 22 people with COVID-19 in hospital and four of those are in critical condition, with one on a ventilator.
In the past 24 hours, the National Health Laboratory (LNS) has performed 10 PCR tests, including seven via random screening, two for international travel authorization and one in quarantine.
The SIJK kept calling on communities to practice the health and safety guidelines recommended by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the WHO to continue combating the spread of the virus.
Since Timor-Leste’s outbreak began in April 2020, the country has recorded 19.675 cases, 19.348 recoveries, and 119 deaths.
In Timor-Leste, of the 754.864 eligible groups, 64.4 percent had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, of which 40.6 percent have been fully vaccinated.
