SSVTE:  2,023 timorese worker candidates complete  Korean Language test

DILI, 16 November 2021 (TATOLI)—The State Secretariat for Vocational Professional Training and Employment (SSVTE) through the National Director of Foreign Workers (NDFW) in collaboration with the Korean Student Language Program (KSLP) announced today that 2,023 Timorese have passed their Korean language tests.

According to the Director of NDFW SEFOPE, Filomeno Soares, The Korean language test was facilitated by SEFOPE through DNEE, but the selection process itself was carried out by the KSLP agency from the Korean Government to provide the qualified student with language skills to be candidates to eligible working in Korea of Republic country.

“For this year 5,492 worker candidates consisting of 842 women and 4,650 men from 12 municipalities have been taking their basic Korean language test on October 26, 2021 however only 2,023 participants have passed their tests, consisting of 277 women and 1746 men,” said Filomeno Soares in a statement released today.

It is said that the successful test participants will be grouped into two groups to participate in another step of Korean language training for six months.

The first group will start the training process on November 24, 2021, and the second group will start the training process in August 2022.
