DILI, 23 november 2021 (TATOLI) – The United States Embassy in Timor-Leste works together with the Chamber of Commercial and Industry of Timor – Leste ( CCI- TL) to empower women entrepreneurs in Timor – Leste.
The U.S Charge d’ Affaires, Tom Daley said that the U.S Government through its Embassy in Timor – Leste wishes that Timorese women will be able to run their businesses bravely and independently.
“Women’s involvement in entrepreneurs can be optimized through the training to provide the knowledge on how to do the business independently to support the economy in their family,” Tom Daley told TATOLI in the CCTL’s s office Akait, Dili today.
The President of CCI –TL Oscar Lima said CCI- TL collaborate with the United States’s Embassy in Timor – Leste to implement a Pilot program which includes Entrepreneurs training for women in Dili municipality, adding that the program will use the ‘dream builder training module’ developed by the Freeport Foundation Moras Collaboration (MC) with Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona State University and the Get Ahead for Women Entrepreneurs from the International Labor Organization (ILO) ‘s module.
“CCI-TL, as the partner for implementing this program, invites the U.S Embassy in Timor-Leste to sign an MOU to ties a cooperation relationship in the field of Entrepreneurship to provide training to women who want to do the business in Timor – Leste and to become independent and successful women entrepreneurs in Timor – Leste in the future,” said Oscar Lima.
“The U.S wishes to facilitate women through the Entrepreneurs training in Timor – Leste, therefore on behalf of CCI – TL and Timorese women entrepreneurs I thanked the U.S Embassy for the cooperation and hope that, this cooperation can be continued in the future,” said Oscar.
