The President of the Republic thanked the Government of the Republic of China for the support provided during the pandemic and in particular when the country was hit by the April 4 floods.
“As the President of the Republic, I would like to thank the Government of the People’s Republic of China for supporting Timor Leste when Timor Leste was hit by floods and faced the Covid-19 Pandemic last year,”
Timorese received the vaccine under the support of several countries including China and will continue bilateral cooperation in the future.
Chinese Ambassador to Timor – Leste Xiao Jianguo conveyed greetings from the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping to the President of the Republic Francisco Guterres Lu Olo.
During the hearing, the Chinese Ambassador in Timor – Leste informed that the cooperation that had been carried out in Timor – Leste was in the aspects of Education, Health, and Agriculture, saying that in the future, Chinese assistance would focus on vulnerable groups and continue. . to support the aspects of Security, Defense, and infrastructure.
Ambassador Jianguo revealed that this time China had supported 100,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine and other medical equipment to fight the Covid-19 pandemic in Timor – Leste.
