DILI, 02 february 2021 (TATOLI)- National development  mão de obra institution, (INDMO) has  attributed certification for 27 that fulfilled the national standards.

The Director of INDMO, Isabel Fernandes De Lima said to ensure a training center can produce qualified human resources, it requires that all institutions must be qualified for the standard of INDMO.

“There are more than 100 training centers that have registered for operation licenses. However 74 training centers have gained operational license and 27 qualified for accreditation,”  The Director of INDMO, Isabel Fernandes De Lima told Tatoli, in her office, in Bairro Pite, on 2 february, this wednesday.

She added 27 training centers have complied with standards of accreditation. The standard must be based on some criteria such as:

1.The statute must be clear;

2.Human resource requires more comprehensive pedagogy and technique;

3.Good management;

4.Guarantee Training quality;

5.Ensuring sustainable focus of facilities, equipment, and financial resources;

INDMO should identify the training area it is offering and the training must focus on life skills. A training center should guarantee financial substantiality.

Mrs. De Lima said the training center must focus on Tourism (Horticulture), Agriculture (Hotel), Cooking and Building (Welding), and others.

INDMO recognizes most training centers have enough training equipment. Therefore it is still needed more advanced, modern, and digitalization equipment, to respond to the demanding industry.

The 27 training centers are assisting in Dili town and even some from the municipality. The well-known are SENAE Becora, COMORO training center, ETDA, TIBAR Training centers, and more others at the municipalities level.

It is known that the government through SEFOPE provides funds for the training center which has gained the accreditation certificate. The money is used to ensure the institution’s operation.

She emphasized that INDMO will revise some training centers that do not comply with the criteria in July 2022. INDMO requests to respond to the criteria based on the national standards.

INDMO is not focused on quality but the quality of training centers are more required. It is ensuring the training center can produce skillful people to respond to the National and International market.
