DILI, 08 august 2022 (TATOLI) – Timor-Leste athletes in Taekwondo and volleyball collected one silver medal and three bronze medals at the 2022 ASEAN University Games in Thailand.
“When I competed in the ASEAN University Games, I got one silver medal and one bronze medal, I feel delighted to be able to make Timor-Leste proud once again,” Felisberto told TATOLI via social media on monday.
Felisberto brought home a silver medal for winning second place after competing in the 5,000-meter marathon and getting a bronze medal for winning third place in the 10,000 meters of a marathon.
Athlete of Taekwondo, Ana da Costa Pinto Belo, got a bronze medal for being able to compete in the 46 kg class by defeating her opponents from Laos and Malaysia.
Meanwhile, a team of volley ball from Timor-Leste, represented by athletes José Savio and Tito Miguel were also able to contribute one bronze medal after winning third place.
The ASEAN University Games are competed by all Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) consisting of Thailand, Philippines, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, and Timor – Leste.
