DILI, 29 november 2022 (TATOLI) – The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) will conduct the 2022 School Census to collect information on how many young people are in the school system.
The information would be collected from preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, and vocational-technical schools across the country.
MoEYS Director General of Administration and Finance Antoninho Pires said the school census was supported by the General Directorate of Statistics (GDS) of the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
The Finance Ministry has recruited over 150 youths to conduct the 2022 School Census.
“A total of 158 youth, including 79 enumerators and 79 engineers, would visit all schools in the country to collect information. The information would be used by the Education Management Information System (EMIS) to better produce the School Construction and Rehabilitation Program to support MoEYS Basic Education Strengthening and Transformation (BEST) program,” Pires said.
The information to be collected during the 2022 School Census included the number of students, teachers, school infrastructure, and other related important data.
The one-month school census is scheduled to take place from december 1 to 31, 2022.
