BRI Bank reaffirms its cooperation with MCANL

DILI, 02 August 2023 (TATOLI)- Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) reiterated its collaboration with the Ministry of Combatants Affairs and National Liberation (MCANL), aimed to provide better service for the Timorese veterans.

The Business Manager of BRI’s bank in Timor-Leste, Carlos Olivier explained that BRI and MCANL themselves had been partners since 2021 and since then BRI had provided storage and credit services to veterans at BRI.

“Our goal is to keep in touch, today we reaffirm our collaboration, we have been working together for two years, and we hope that in the future we can increase cooperation in serving veterans such as taking deposits at BRI, credit services, and so on,” said Carlos Oliver in MCANL Caicoli office, this tuesday.

He hopes that the funds managed that entrusted to BRI will provide great benefits for veterans’ institutions and the veterans themselves.

Carlos Olivier also says that BRI is always ready to cooperate and support any activities that can benefit MCANL and gives big advantages to Timorese veterans.

The Minister for Combatants and National Liberation Affairs, Gil da Costa Monteiro ‘Oan Soru’ appreciated the BRI visit to express the warmest greeting and re-discuss the areas of cooperation that had existed between both sides so far.

“Veterans who have taken credit at BRI and BNCTL have reached 7,725 people and this is not seen from the level but the beneficiaries are based in accordance with the subsidies received by those concerned,” he concluded.

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or commonly shortened to BRI, is known as an Indonesian state-owned enterprise that provides a wide range of financial services for all consumers in Timor-Leste.

Not only in Timor-Leste but also extended to other foreign countries such as the United States (BRI New York Agency), Singapore (BRI Singapore Branch), China (BRI Hong Kong Representative Office), Cayman Islands ( BRI Cayman Island Branch), Republic of China (BRI Cayman Island Branch).
