Singaporean Navy ship docked at Timor-Leste port

DILI, 12 august 2023 (TATOLI)— The Singapore Navy ship RSS ENDURANCE 207 docked at Dili Port at around 09:00 this morning Timor-Leste hour carry with it 186 soldiers led by Lieutenant Colonel, Sohkhim Anjhony.

Operations Supervisor from QUBE, Corey Pratt explained that the arrival of the soldiers was part of a long vacation and wanted to establish relations with members of the F-FDTL (Timor-Leste Armed Defense Forces) Naval Command for three days.

“Every week the international company QUBE assists Singapore Navy soldiers to visit any country and carry out friendly activities. Tomorrow, soldiers from the Singapore Navy will have a friendly football match with members of the F-FDTL Naval Command in Hera,” said Corey Pratt at Tatoli Hotel Timor, this Saturday.

He said that apart from visiting F-FDTL the soldiers would also make visits to several historical sites in Dili.

“The company will arrange a rotation schedule for 186 soldiers to travel to tourist sites in Dili including Cristo Rei and other potential tourist sites,” he said.

The ship is capable of carrying a full payload of 8,400 tonnes to 9,400 tonnes and is 141.0 m (462 ft 7 in) long.

While the Ship will depart from the port of Dili for Singapore on Monday (14/08/2023) at around 12.00 East Timor time.
