DILI, 04 january 2024 (TATOLI) – Prime Minister, Xanana Gusmão, will evaluate the performance of government members in March to see who are unable to do their jobs will be replaced by other people.
“The State Budget for 2024 has already been approved and so we are in the preparation phase to implement the government’s programs. I have informed all members of the government that in march I will visit each ministry to monitor and evaluate their performance. Those who are unable to perform their jobs will be replaced,” said Gusmão after a meeting with President Horta at the Presidential Palace.
According to Gusmão, a government member must serve the people and the country well: “The people elected us to work in favor of the development of our nation.
The Prime Minister said that being a government member should demonstrate a commitment to working for the good of the people and the nation.
The composition of the IX Constitutional Government, published in the Official Gazette on 30 june, 2023, was made up of 47 members, including the prime minister, two deputy prime ministers, 19 ministers, 10 deputy ministers, and 15 secretaries of state.
