DILI, 22 december 2024 (TATOLI) – The President of the Republic, Jose Ramos Horta, officially inaugurated the ASEAN Hall at the Nicolau Lobato Presidential Palace. This initiative represents a significant step in strengthening the bonds between Timor-Leste and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The ASEAN Hall, conceived as a symbol of regional unity and cultural exchange, stands as a permanent testament to Timor-Leste’s commitment to ASEAN’s principles of cooperation, understanding, and shared prosperity. President Ramos-Horta presided over this momentous occasion, marking a new chapter in the nation’s regional engagement.

Following the inauguration ceremony, guests joined the celebration of Christmas for the People at the Nicolau Lobato Presidential Palace gardens, combining this historic occasion with the spirit of the Christmas season celebration.
