DILI, 09 September 2025 (TATOLI) – Fifty-three athletes, accompanied by 21 coaches, will represent Timor-Leste in five sports at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand from 9 to 20 December.
According to the Timor-Leste Sports Confederation (CDTL), seven athletes will compete in athletics, 10 in boxing, nine in taekwondo, seven in karate-do, and 20 in football.
CDTL President Macário Floriano Sanches said preparations would begin immediately, as less than 90 days remain before the competition.
He urged the athletes to train with full commitment to ensure strong and competitive performances, adding that the Games are an opportunity to demonstrate Timor-Leste’s readiness to compete at the regional level.
The SEA Games are a biennial multi-sport event involving the 11 National Olympic Committees of Southeast Asia.
