DILI, 18 february, 2021 (TATOLI) – Timor-Leste’s COVID-19 recovery cases increase to 81 with the additional of 18 new recoveries, with one new imported case have been recorded, Ministry of Health reported yesterday. The Coordinator of Covid-19, Nilton do Carmo da Silva said, the new imported case is Timorese nationals in 28-year-old man.
The first to arrive in Dili on Feb.6 from London via Singapore, after arriving the patient was quarantined at the Carla Mansion Hotel along with 16 people.
The patient was tested positive for COVID-19 on his second test, almost two weeks after his arrival on February 6 from the United Kingdom,” Nilton da Silva said at the press conference at the office of MoH, Caicoli Dili.
Of the 18 recovered patients, he said the three arrived from Tanzania another two arriving illegally via land borders, while 13 were legally crossing the borders from Batugede to Timor-Leste on jan.20.
This new infection brings the number of cases to 103 of the number 81 recoveries while 22 are under the treatment in the isolation center.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, by February 18, 20,617 have been completed the tests, 20.404 were tested negative and 110 people are still waiting for the result, meanwhile 252 people are currently in mandatory quarantine.
