DILI, 31 may, 2021(TATOLI)– The National Parliament had approved the resolution project on Monday to urge the dialogue between military coup with National League Democratic Party (NLD) to make dialogue and accomplish the Political deadlock in Myanmar at this time.
The political situation that has arisen in 2020 in Myanmar has not yet been resolved. Thus The National Parliament approved the resolution to demand two parties set out the dialogue and call on international communities to support the solution for the people of Myanmar who are facing a return to military rule after ten years of democratic transition.
The results for the vote of approval are 51 votes in favor, against 0, and abstain 16 votes, thus the resolution project number 74(3a) was approved unanimously in the National Parliament.
The vice president of the National Parliament Maria Angelina Lopes Sarmento said a sign of solidarity to the people of Myanmar who were facing the military coup.
The Parliament reaffirms the resolution project due to the ongoing political development in Myanmar, people are difficult to find food, many have died while a lot of Rohingya Community were tortured and die at this time.
The National Parliament’s approval of the resolution project has been inspired by the imperative value principle from the United Nations Organization (UN) and the Universal Declaration of human rights 1948.
National Parliament reaffirms, Republic Democratic of Timor-Leste, and the relationship ties between the people of this country and the people of other countries, thus there is a need to promote friendship and Cooperation to have a pacific solution for any kind of conflict in the world and refer to have a resource of multilateral to find the solution.
Parliament also expresses deepest concern on the Declaration of the State of Emergency in Myanmar since February 1st, 2021.
Parliament highlighted the continued support for the internal dialogue and reconciliation for the desire and the importance of the people of Myanmar.
Parliament reaffirms, there is a need for support from the regional organization particularly the Association of South East Asia Nations (ASEAN) together to solve the conflict in Myanmar.
Based on the RDTL constitution article 92, National Parliament had approved 8 resolution project as bellow;
1. National Parliament of Timor Leste crackdown with Political development in Myanmar on the sequence of State Emergency declaration commence on 01/02 and evolution of Political situation and security in Myanmar.
2. Export the fundamental application principle of State right designation to the principle of presumption of innocence and detention relation for the citizenship, observation, imperative for limitation tax from the Universal declaration of human rights.
3. Call upon all the regions to support maximum the context, request to stop the violence, and encourage prosecution of constructive dialogue and consultative and interests of the Myanmar people.
4. Reintegrated to the regional organization particularly ASEAN to make the promotion of good government, application of Democratic principles, respect the fundamentals rights, promote and protection for human rights.
5. National Parliament of Timor Leste commend the ASEAN to make an active approach promotion to the crisis with basic interest and find the constructive commitment that contributes for reaffirms the commitment of ASEAN in the area of defense which fundamental to the international right to achieve peace, security, stability and the prosperity of Myanmar in this region.
6. Support and hail the devoted objective in ” the Consensus of Five Point'” which was declared during the ASEAN leaderships meeting on 24 April 2021 for the people of Myanmar.
7. Call to access for the humanitarian must be in good condition for all Myanmar people without any execution.
8.National Parliament of Timor Leste encourages the government of Timor Leste through the diplomatic channel to transmit the resolution project of Timor Leste National Parliament and transmitted to the government of Myanmar and Myanmar’s Parliament to the Secretary-General of United Nation (UN) and also the Secretary-General of ASEAN.
The Proponent of the resolution anticipated by the member of National Parliament, Deputy Agustinho Siguera ” Somotxo”, Deputy Silvino Morais, Deputy Francisco Miranda Branco, Deputy Antonio Verdial de Sousa, Vice-President of Parliament National, Deputy Maria Angelina Lopes Sarmento, and Deputy David Dias Ximenes.
The rise of political deadlock in Myanmar as the result of Suu Kyi Won a landslide victory in national elections but the process was taken by the dictator regime and Aung San Suu Kyi and his members were detained.
