DILI, 28 july 2021 (TATOLI) – The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Timor Leste Sahat Sitorus today informed that the Indonesian Government had already provided funds of $ 200.000 to Timor-Leste to arrange an ambulance boat to Timor-Leste which is expected to be landing in Dili in the mid of December.
“This ambulance boat has been produced in Surabaya and is planned to be completed in December,” said Indonesian Ambassador Sahat Sitorus at the Ministry of Finance Aitarak Laran Dili.
According to Ambassador Satorus, the Ambulance boat arrange by Indonesia will help provide emergency medical assistance and services to areas that are remote and are surrounded by a water body.
Sitorus said the boat is solidarity support from the people of Indonesia to Timor-Leste to help Timor-Leste’s health situation during the covid-19.
It is recalled that the Ministry of Health Timor-Leste had previously signed a contract of USD 194,000 with the PT. Fberboat Indonesia on July 2, 2021, for the production of the Ambulance Boat and expected to be finished in mid-December 2021.
