DILI, 16 october 2021 (TATOLI) -National Authority for Clean Water and Sanitation ( ANAS) held a WASH Forum meeting with the partnership to discuss the improvement of water, sanitation and hygiene services for the municipalities.
ANAS Executive Director, Domingos Pinto explained the objective of this meeting is to gather the ideas from all partnerships that that working on water and sanitation services to discuss the effective service to be provided to the community in the future.
“This WASH forum is to invite all partners to meet each other, sharing the idea, improve the coordination to provide a good service to the communities to achieve the National Strategic Development Plan ( NSDP) ‘ s target. We wish to hear the information from them, what they have done during this time,” Domingos told reporters in the Hall of Saint Paul Seroja Comoro, Dili on friday.
He explained, currently, ANAS is focusing on socializing laws number and number 41 of 2021, to the partnership base on the ANAS’s role and its function to have well coordination in the future.
From this series of meetings, ANAS and partnership will discuss how to determine rules for all consumers, especially those who use drilled water which will have an impact on water supplies for everyone.
“ANAS is a new Institution therefore, we will work together to see the several companies that supply the clean water to communities,” he said.
He also asked the partnership to have well coordination in the implementation of clean water sector service activities.
So far, there have been improvements, especially infrastructure activities of water treatment.
