Indelible ink for the 2023 parliamentary election  will arrive in Timor -Leste on 12 April

DILI, 27 march 2023 ( TATOLI) – Director General of the Technical Secretariat for Election Administration ( STAE) Acilino Manuel Branco, said the indelible ink for the 2023 parliamentary elections will arrive in Timor Leste on 12 April 2023.

“The Timor-Leste government through STAE has collaborated with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to buy indelible ink from Denmark – Copenhagen and will arrive in Timor-Leste on April 12, 2023,” the Director General STAE, Acilino Manuel Branco told TATOLI in Delta Nova, Dili on Monday.

Branco, also ensured that indelible ink was of good quality plus this ink was previously used during the presidential election.

“We are sure that these stains are of high quality because we have used them for the 2022 presidential election. The ink from Denmark is also used by many countries during elections,” he said.

In the same place, the Representative from UNDP, Tito da Costa, said
UNDP received more than US$ 300,000 and has purchased 10,000 bottles of indelible ink from Denmark.

“The ink was set to arrive in Timor Leste on April 12 and will immediately hand over the 2023 parliamentary elections to STAE,” he concluded.
