CNE and STAE together with 17 political parties officially approve the ballots  paper for the parliamentary election    

DILI, 5 april 2023, (TATOLI)- National Election Commission (CNE) and Election Technical Administrative (STAE) together with 17 political parties approve the bulleting of the vote to be printed by the National Graphic.

President of CNE, José Belo revealed that before CNE and STAE sent a voting bulletin to the Nationa Graphic for printing, the commission election allows each party to give comments and input for any improvement of ballot papers before having approval.

“We have officially approved the voting bulletin for the upcoming painting election and the printing process can be commencing now,” The president of CNE, José Belo told journalists in Lalini Larigutu hall, in Caicoli, this Wednesday.

He added before the approval for the voting bulletin. CNE provides an opportunity for the 17 political parties to give comments or any improvement on the voting bulletin before sending it to National Graphic to carry out the printing process.

At the same time, General Director of STAE Acelino Manuel Branco said STAE collected all comments or input for the improvements to ensure the bulletin can be recognized. It helps voters to choose Election Day will be held on 21 May 2023.

Mr. Branco explained that based on Election laws article 39 does not mention using numbers in the bulletin.

STAE will focus on three important points such as the political party flag, the denomination name of the party, and sigla.

“Our technical staffs are ready to have improved based on the recommendation from a court of appeals for each political party. We are helping political parties with serial numbers which have been approved to ensure the voters can be easily recognized their political parties,’’ He explained

The representative of CNRT, Tomas Cabral recommends to the CNE and STAE not to use other political party flags for another party that is not mentioned in the CNE laws.

It is known that STAE will be printing over 937.000 voting bulletins to use for the upcoming parliamentary election will be held on 21 May 2023.
