New Zealand English Language Training for Officials Scholarships OPEN NOW

DILI, 18 january 2024 (TATOLI) – The New Zealand English Language Training for Officials (NZELTO) Scholarships OPEN NOW.

These three-month English language scholarships will be delivered in NZ from september to december 2024. This round (Intake 59) has a thematic focus of Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security.

“Applications are open until 16 february 2024. There are only TEN positions available for this attractive opportunity,” said in a statement.

Applications are open for government employees working at one of these institutions ONLY:

  1. Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation
  2. Office of the Minister Coordinator of Economic Affairs
  3. Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Forestry
  4. Secretary of State for Cooperatives
  5. Instituto do Geosciencia de Timor-Leste
  6. Trade Invest

These exciting scholarships will strengthen government employees’ English skills, allowing them to advance their careers – while giving them the chance to network with other officials from ASEAN working in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security.  They will also get a chance to experience exciting New Zealand, and then attend the Southeast Asia ELTO Conference in early 2025.

To be considered, applicants must have a direct connection with making policy relating to sustainable agriculture and food security, or involved with planning, approval, implementing, or reporting on the impact and mitigation of climate change on agriculture and food security; and developing technology for climate smart agricultural production. Other connections to the theme could be supply chains, storage, transportation, and international trade.

To apply, applicants must discuss and be recommended by their workplace supervisor. Application forms and program outlines are sent to each line ministry.
