DILI, 08 october 2020 (TATOLI)– Jica handed over the supporting facilities for covid-19 prevention to the faculty of Engineering, Science and Technology of UNTL with the provision approximately $14.00 to support FEST students in prevention of covid-19.
The support items including three hand washing spaces and water tanks, 3000 of washable masks, ten units of thermo scanners, with ten types of hygiene items composing of 300 pieces of antibacterial foam, 600 pieces of hand sanitizers, 50 pieces of disinfectant liquid (Rinse), 20 units of disinfectant containers, 50 pieces of disinfectant (Bayclin), five units of larger rubbish bin, 50 units of small rubbish bin, 500 pieces of rubbish bin plastics, 600 boxes of fascial tissues, and 200 package of tissue rolls.
The Rector of National University of Timor-Leste (UNTL), Francisco Miguel Martins thanked to FEST for taking the responsibility to continue maintain the good condition of the new building and proud to support the FEST trough the Jica’s technical cooperation projects and other activities may happen in the future.
“We recognize that the global pandemic has caused to the interruption of several steps for the development in this country including Jica’s ongoing project phase two,” UNTL Rector Francisco Miguel Martins said.
He added to fight against covid-19, Jica is committed to encourage all the members of this campus to consider that hygiene is fundamental thing to gain the body resistance against serious illness.
According to him the support is also provided not only to prevent the covid-19 prevention but also for the improvement of clean environment of the campus.
At this point Jica is requests to the top FEST to encourage all members to utilize and maintain the facilities for long term in the future.
