DILI, 25 february 2021 (TATOLI)– The Representative of World Health Organisation (WHO), Doctor Senha Viegas said, the country will begin its first Vaccination of AstraZeneca on April 7, 2021.
“About the vaccination we will initiate it on April 7, 2021 to celebrate world health day,” WHO Representative, Viegas said at the FONGTIL Hall, Caicoli Dili.
She said, the first person to receive the vaccination is the Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak with the Head of WHO in Timor-Leste.
“To notice the involvement of our leaders in this process is important to convince the people,” she said.
She added that, the Vaccine is secure to everyone and it aims to increase and strengthen a person’s immune system towards covid-19,” she said.
“AstraZeneca Vaccine is the vaccine that more secure and effective to protect our people from infection of covid-19 and it is possible to reduce the transmission as well as the number of global deaths,” she said.
Viegas request to the public, to intends very well regarding the vaccine, The AstraZeneca Vaccine will provide an impact to the communities’ health and when receiving the vaccine will help reinforce the communities’ immune systems.
