DILI, 02 September 2021 ( TATOLI) – General Director of the Ministry of Transport and Communication (MTC) Gaspar de Araujo reports that the Government through the MTC will build three bus stations in Timor-Leste by 2023.
The team from the ASIA Development Bank and MTC have been conducted a feasibility study this year.
“The three stations will be built in 2023 after the team finished the feasibility studies and design for the stations. The three-station are Hera, Manleuana, and Tibar Terminals,” Araujo told reporters at the MTC’s office Kaikoli today.
He explained that the Hera Station will accommodate all passengers and vehicles from Lospalos, Baucau, Vikeke, and Manatuto, the Manleuana station will accommodate a passenger with the vehicles coming from Manufahi, Suai, Ainaro and Aileu Municipalities while the Tibar station will accommodate passenger from Ermera, Maliana, and Likisa.
He added that the fund allocated for the construction of the three stations is $30,000 based on the cooperation between ADB and MTC.
