DILI, 13 january 2022 (TATOLI) – In the past 23 hours, Timor-Leste recorded no new COVID-19 cases, one recovery, and 24 active cases, said Timor-Leste health authorities.
There are no people with COVID-19 in the hospital.
In the past 24 hours, the National Health Laboratory (LNS) has performed 133 PCR tests in Dili, including 81 via random screening, 50 for the international travel authorization, and two in quarantine.
The health authorities kept calling on communities to practice the health and safety guidelines recommended by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the WHO to continue combating the spread of the virus.
Since Timor-Leste’s outbreak began in april 2020, the country has recorded 19.860 cases, 19.714 recoveries, and 122 deaths.
In Timor-Leste, of the 754.864 eligible adult groups, 83.7% had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, of which 69.2% have been fully vaccinated.
The country has so far vaccinated 19.6% of students with the first dose of the vaccine, of which 16.1% have already been fully vaccinated.
Covid-19 vaccination: Municipality Tracker
At least four municipalities have now fully vaccinated more than 70 percent of their adult residents. Four of these municipalities included Dili (81.2%), Viqueque (82.3%), Covalima (76.7%) and RAEAO (72.2%). However, the vaccination rate is low in Ermera and Bobonaro with 51.0% and 52.3% respectively.
So far, Timor-Leste had received a total of 1.213.279 doses of Covid-19 vaccines, consisting of 1.012.850 doses of AstraZeneca, 100.000 doses of SINOVAC (China), and 100.620 doses of Pfizer vaccines (USA).
Of the 1.012.650 AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines, 100.800 doses were given by COVAX Facility, 24.00 doses from New Zealand, 777.850 does were donated by the government of Australia, 142.000 doses from Portugal, and 168.000 doses were given by the Japanese government.
