The Embassy of Malaysia reunify the Alumni of MTCP to create the networking in Timor – Leste

DILI,06 july 2023 (TATOLI)– The Embassy of Malaysia in Timor – Leste reunify the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme ( MTCP) Alumni of Timor – Leste to create networking in sharing constructive ideas to build this country in the future.

The Ambassador of Malaysia to Timor – Leste, Amarjit Sargit Singh, said since Timor – Leste get its independence, there are many Public Servants from several institutions had attended the program of MTCP in Malaysia, therefore, the Embassy of Malaysia in Timor – Leste wishes to reunify the Alumni of MTCP to share the constructive idea to build Timor -Leste in the future.

“The MTCP Alumni in Timor-Leste is 613, the Embassy of Malaysia wishes to reunify them to share the science and knowledge on forestry, agriculture, mining, health, management administration, project management, and the related science through the program of MTCP in Malaysia to implemented in this country to contribute for the country development in the future,” said the Ambassador of Malaysia to Timor – Leste, Amarjit Sargit Singh, to TATOLI in Timor Lodge Comoro, Dili.

Ambassador Singh this MTCP will introduce them to each other, saying despite they are all alumni from MTCP but they are not attached yet.

“They are the alumni of MTCP but they are not attached, therefore this reunification program will help introduce themselves and will establish their organization to share the ideas through the seminars and workshops to support the national development,” he said.

 Ambassador Singh stressed that with the existence of the MTCP, Timor – Leste will have 140 networking countries including Timor – Leste which had attended the program of MTCP with over 25,000 alumni will communicate with each other, sharing constructive ideas.

At the same place the Timorese Representative Alumni of MTCP Gregorio Rangel, on behalf of 613 Public Servant which had become benefited from MTCP in Malaysia thanked the Malaysian Embassy in Timor – Leste which had reunified the Alumni of MTCP in Timor – Leste.

“On behalf of the Government of Timor – Leste and the Timorese Alumni I thanked the Government of Malaysia through its Embassy in Timor – Leste which had sent us to Malaysia to attend the MTCP for 6 months, learned about the science of health, project management, leadership, forestry, agriculture and the other related sectors that relevant for the country, I request to the Embassy of Malaysia to continue this program in the future,” he said. 

Rangel revealed with this reunify of Timorese Alumni of MTCP, further will establish the organization of the alumni of MTCP to organize seminars, and workshops and create international networking of MTCP to share the constructive idea in supporting the government how to build the nation.
