DILI, 07 february 2024 (TATOLI) – The Secretary of State for Vocational Training and Employment (SEFOPE) will carry out pre-departure training for the recipients of the Technical Interim Training (TIT) program before leaving for Japan.
The pre-departure training program is to prepare students for a meaningful, successful, and educational experience abroad.
The Secretary of State for Vocational Training and Employment, Rogério de Araújo Mendonça, said that through the program, TIT recipients will learn Japanese culture and language, the education system, and other relevant topics before leaving for Japan.
This is a good opportunity for TIT beneficiaries to prepare themselves before going to live in a new environment and learn new knowledge and skills in an advanced education system.
He said that SEFOPE will first discuss with the Japanese Embassy and JICA the preparations for setting up a center to carry out the program.
Currently, 14 young Timorese are studying agriculture in Japan under the TIT Training Program in Kochi province, Japan.
Another five provinces have also expressed interest in receiving Timorese students to study agriculture and other related subjects, including Marutaka, Fukui, Saitama, Inacity, and Fukuyama.
