DILI, 28 february, 2021 (TATOLI) – The Minister of Health reported two new cases of the coronavirus on sunday, Feb. 28, raising the total number of COVID-19 to 23 and one recovery.
The two patients were transferred by the covid-19 authority from covalima to Vera Cruz isolation center Dili.
The Coordinator of Covir Crisis team, Rui Maria, de Araujo explained the two patients are identified positive by the team through the swabs testing, also both were having the close contact with the positive patient working as agriculture extensionist in Suai.
“The two identified positives are the relatives of the agriculture extensionist worker, They are nine in a family. Of the number 2 were confirmed positive to covid-19 and categorized for 25% of Household secondary attack rate.” Mr. Rui De Maria Araújo said on press release in Dili Convention Center. this Sunday.
On February 27, covid-19 team was searching for people who have been having close contact with the patient and collect around 90 samples from 4 different areas composed of Klauhalek, Belulik Kra’ik area from Fatumea sub- district, and two others from Onu-laran and Maudemu from Tiliomar village, district Suai district.
The diagnosed results show two people were positives out of 47 while the rest are waiting for the results.
The team had also identified another 27 of the a man coo-workers and 12 people from his family.
From the number, the team at the same time confirdmed another case of coronavirus.
“The patient is a five grades student, studying at central basic school at Salele, Tilomar,” he said.
Meanwhile the team is continued to conduct the to all the residents.
