DILI, 15 june 2021 (TATOLI) – The United Nation Development Program (UNDP) offers six of drone and cameras to Secretary of State for Civic Protection (SSCP).
In the cerimony, the representative of UNDP for Timor-Leste, Tuya Altangerel, firstly, offered four drones and cameras to the Secretary of State for Civic Protection, Joquim Gusmão, at the SSCP building, Caicoly, this Tuesday and according to the plan will handed over more two at the short time.
The equipment is included of complete specification and accessories of modern technology. The equipment can be used by the staffs in the rural areas for data assessment and there are not roads accessibility or broken caused by disaster natural.
The expenditure for six drones with total budget $36,000 and purchased each piece of drone with a price $.6, 000.
UNDP open recruitment process for a specialist trainer to conduct training for the Civic Protection staff on operating drone for data assessment on july next month.
Secretary of State for Civic Protection, Joaquim Gusmão thanked to the support and those drones can help the effective work in the disaster areas for responding for natural disaster.
SSCP will distribute equipment to the Division of Disaster Natural Management (DDNM). Secretary of State of Civic Protection, Joaquim Gusmão asked to all staffs to use those equipment on own responsibility.
