The President of National Electoral Commission (CNE), José Agostinho da Costa Belo said that it is most required for the security requirement for the 16 presidential candidates.
CNE will organize many programs for presidential candidates consisting of campaigns and debates. Thus, it is required for the PNTL participation to ensure the security for all candidates.
Mr. Belo added that CNE will cooperate with the best local TV to broadcast the debating between the presidential candidates. CNE will decide the venue of the debate in the Dili town.
CNE has observed all the venues and the place must be secure during the debating process. The stimulation must be different with the preview one.
“The debating process will ensure the presidential candidate must be committed to prove with the statement to bring the country out from the crisis situation,” He said.
CNE has decided the second of March will be the date for the debating program. It is a brilliant opportunity to show to all people the ability of a new president for 2022-2027. People have the full right to decide the new president by voting at polling stations.
The National operational Commander, Pedro Belo said that PNTL plays important rules to ensure the presidential election will be under control across the country.
Based on the CNE decree laws the candidate should submit the schedules of the campaign before 15 days.
PNTL has full responsibility to ensure the security aspect to all citizens to vote in the presidential election in Timor-Leste.
“Timor-Leste will celebrate the Democracy period and every one will be happy to manifest their right to vote for any candidate to become President for 2022 to 2027. PNTL must ensure everyone is safe during the campaign period till the voting days, The National Operational Commander, Pedro Belo told reports at CNE office, this saturday.
Mr. Belo added that PNTL should guarantee people are free and honest to vote without any intimidation or force by some other person.
PNTL is promptly 24 hours to make all citizens feel conform and safe to participate in the democracy party to decide the president of Timor-Leste.
These are the totals of 4.104 members of National Police of Timor-Leste (PNTL) members. They have full responsibility to ensure the situation is under control during the presidential election for the period of 2022.
