DILI, 19 september 2022 ( TATOLI)– The Charge d’ Affaires and the Interim of The Malaysia Embassy to Timor – Leste, Nadia Azura Mohd Nudri, said over 119 Timorese have been attending the Capacity Building in the Institution of Malaysia Technical Cooperation Program ( MTCP) in Malaysia since 2021-2022.
“Over 119 composes of Public servants and the non-public servant had attended the capacity building, which is offered by the Institution of MTCP in Malaysia. They attend the training in many areas such as; leadership, management administration Information technology, and other training in Malaysia,” The Charge d’ Affaires and the Interim of Malaysia Embassy, Nudri told TATOLI in her office Pantai Kelapa Dili.
The Charge d’ affair and the Interim of Malaysia Embassy to Timor – Leste, Nudri added from 119 Timorese, some of them had returned to Timor – Leste, and some of them continue the training program in Malaysia.
” MTCP offers training to people from around 30 countries including Timor – Leste, therefore each participant has the right to attend the training with a duration of 3 – 6 months,” she said.
The objective of the training is to increase the knowledge of public servants and non-public servants from Civil Society to implement in their work for the progress of the institutions.
The Government of Malaysia through its Embassy in Timor – Leste will continue to work together with the Government of Timor – Leste in empowering the public servant and non-public servants through the non-Government Organization to attend the training MTCP in the future.
So far Malaysia had enhanced its bilateral cooperation since Timor – Leste got its independence, and 20 years ago, there are many cooperation which Timor – Leste and Malaysia had done, such as; bilateral cooperation in the area of Education, Health, Defense and Security, and other cooperation which had conducted during this time.
